Hot and Sweet drinkies
I usually drink beer during regular days, like when I'm watching Monday night football or NBA. But in special occasion, I have my own favorite set of mixed drinks to lighten up my evening while seated pretty on bar stools
with some friends and new acquaintances.
Anyway, Here's my top 5:
1. White Russian
2. Sex on the Beach
3. Blackberry vodka Fizz
Just love 'em all! Current Mood: artistic

Does anyone have any ideas for a martini that tastes good that I can make? I have gin, vermouth, apple vodka (for Apple Martinis) and pimento stuffed olives. I am willing to buy more ingredients if it's really worth it. I even have a little shaker! :) I'm a martini-virgin, so I'm trying to find good tasting recipes. Thanks! Current Mood: curious

New member. I actually know very little about mixed drinks-- I only turned 21 this year, and never had much more than margaritas before then.
Anyway, I was actually hoping for suggestions. I have some alcohol in my kitchen, and no idea what to do with it to make it interesting for the holiday. Here's what I have:
-bottle of White Zin wine
-2 berry-flavored wine coolers
-Southern Comfort (I've never even tried this yet)
For things to add, I have:
-cranberry-orange fruit juice
-instant coffe mix
-frozen and canned fruits (mostly strawberries and mandarin orange slices)
Any recommendations or suggestions?(except mudslide, I have those all the time)

I just found out one of my favorite drinks werent made anymore. I'm not sure if they just dont make them anymore, or if our liquor store just dont carry it anymore. But, what I need to know, is if there is anything close to Bacardi Silver Limon? I need it for tomorrow.
I had Bacardi Silver Razz and Green Apple on my birthday. I didnt like it much. I heard Smirnoff was about the same as Bacardi but better. Is that true? I dont wanna buy something if I'm not going to drink it. I guess what I'm asking for is help on whats good? Current Mood: aggravated

LOTS of lemon juice?
Heyo! New to the community, I like to drink when I can, but I am rather unknowledgable about alcohol. I tend to not like hard liquor, though, unless there's a lot of something else masking the taste. (I guess I'm a girly drinker type *shrug*) But I'm wondering if there's any drinks that use a LOT of lemon or lime juice? I loves the sour.. Current Mood: bored

ok so i devised a new drink, someone has to try it and tell me what you think i call it an extreme berry collada
makes enough for 8 drinks
1 can coconut milk
2 oz puertorican rum (baccardi is good)
1 oz chambord or any rasberry flavored liquor (even use rose tequilla)
1 oz pineapple juice
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk
coconut shavings (used for baking)
fill blender with ice cream ice, milk, liquor, some of the coconut shavings and blend until smooth, the texture should be velvety almost like a milk shake, dispense in a
margarita glass top with whipped cream and shaved coconut on top, garnish with a cherry if desired, sit back in your beachside loungechair, get a tan and slurp away! :)

[alcohol] Kahlua & Rum, Oh My!
Not exactly a bardrink....but it's close.....
Just got back from the liquor store. I bought a bottle of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and a bottle of Kahlua. Bonus with the Kahlua. It came in this tin that lights up. *laugh* You can't see the lights that well in the picture but trust me, it's neat. ( And with lights....Collapse )
If the bottle is in the can you can't see the lights. It's also all textured and bumpy where the "beads" are. I'm impressed to see a novelty here (I'm in Utah). Usually they don't have the bonus packages - at least none that I've seen. You know, the ones that will come with a shot glass or martini glass. Or tins like this. I remember the first time I went to Vegas and played in the grocery store with the alcohol. I had so much fun. I was like a kid in a candy store! Current Mood: bouncy

Dirty Girl Scouts
Dirty Girl Scouts are my favorite shot at the bar; it tastes like those Girl Scout mint cookies. Admittedly I'm a little fuzzy on the recipe, but I've been told this is how it goes:
Equal parts each of Vodka, Kahlua, Bailey's Irish Cream and a "half part" Creme de Menthe (use green to give it that "girl scout uniform" color).
I prefer this in a shot size. (I don't know if it's ever made larger?)

Flaming Pumpkin Shots!!!
These are oh-so-yummy! They really taste like pumpkin pie and are of course, fun to drink because they're on fire.
In a shot glass;
1 part Kahlua
1 part Bailey's
a splash of Goldschlaugger
sprinkle of cinnamon
Light on fire then sprinkle more cinnamon over top (This does get messy)
Blow out and drink.
Baccardi Puertorican rum
vanilla ice cream
orange ice pops
Fresh orange zest!!!
orange from oranges or any orange juice
combine 1 cup milk
2 scoops of ice cream
1 orange pop
fresh grated orange zest and about
1 oz of puertorican rum
in blender on medium blend all ingredients until smooth and silky like a milk shake, do not over blend, and wet/dry ingredients until desired texture (more milk & rum to make it smooth, or more ice cream to make it thicker)
pour into glass garnish with slice of fresh orange, ENJOY!

ok, i remember one from my college binge drinking days also, it was called coca-cola, im not sure what was in it though, but im pretty sure it used jagermeister any one have any ideas?
Hello! I found this community through the cooking community. I enjoy a few drinks every now and again, and these are a few that I have nearly every time.
Toasted Almond (equal parts Frangelico and dark creme de cacao, fill with cream/half&half)
Pink Squirrel (Creme de Noyaux, clear creme de cacao, fill with cream/halfn'half)
Magarita on the rocks
As far as shots go I really like Kamikazes, Buttery nipples, and M&M's.
I'm always interested in trying new drinks, and I have quite a few bar/drink books with lots of recipes. But it's always better (at least I think) to get a recommendation from someone who has actually tried the drink.
I look forward to learning new drinks! Current Mood: creative
